Suzanne Savage: "A natural born star”
Described as 'one of Ireland’s hidden music heroes' Belfast born singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Suzanne Savage is a musical force to be reckoned with. From touring Europe and the US as principle soprano soloist with Riverdance, to a scholarship at the Fabrica Musica institute of Italy, she has garnered a reputation on the international stage.
Suzanne has performed with some of the biggest names in music including Paul Brady, Elenor McEvoy, Roseanne Cash, Van Morrison, Jimmy Cobb, Ernie Watts Quartet and Gary Husband; and premiered new music of composers Linda Buckley, Garth McGonaghie, Simon Mawhinney and Oscar and Emmy winner David Shire.
In March 2020, and again in April 2022, Suzanne was invited to perform as soloist with the RTE Concert Orchestra performing The Music Of Leonard Cohen in Bord Gais Energy Theatre Dublin alongside Irish artists including Lisa Hannigan, Phelim Drew, Mick Flannery and Moncrieff. In March 2022 Suzanne also appeared on TG4 performing her solo music as part of a new music series Cumasc: Séisiúin Sa Black Gate, curated by Galway’s Peadar King.
Suzanne’s latest single True Love written with Ceithre Cinn (Matt McGinn, Ciaran Lavery and Finnian Kelleher) was selected for BBC Radio Ulster’s Where Music Matters playlist and is listed in the top ten most played songs on RTE Radio for May 2022, spending three weeks on the RTE Recommends list.
