The Yule Cat in Icelandic lore is a monstrous cat with glowing eyes, sharp whiskers, and sharp claws. On Christmas Eve and Christmas night, the Yule Cat prowls the snowy countryside and peeks into windows to see which children have new clothes. The ones that do not are eaten.
Participants will be guided through painting the cat, and will use collage to add the structure. A variety of options will be provided, or (OPTIONAL!) participants can bring a printed color image of the structure of their choice.
Class registration includes all needed materials. This class is appropriate for all skill levels - we'll remove the worry about "knowing how to draw" by having the image of the cat sketched out for you in advance.
