YULE: A Sacred Sisterhood Gathering
About this Event
As we arrive at the deepest point of winter, we gather in sacred circle to honour Yule and the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year and the ancient turning point from darkness towards light.
This is an evening devoted to sisterhood, stillness, warmth and the quiet return of hope.
Together we will enter a ceremonial space held with candlelight and intention, where each woman is invited to arrive exactly as she is. Yule marks a beautiful threshold upon the Wheel of the Year... the moment when the darkness reaches its fullest expression and, almost imperceptibly, the light begins to return.
In the natural world, so much is resting. The trees stand bare, seeds sleep beneath the frozen Earth and life has drawn itself deep into the roots. Rather than rushing towards the new, Yule invites us to honour this stillness and remember that rest is part of the cycle too.
Guided by the warm, open-hearted spirit of Cacao, we will create space to reflect upon the year that has passed, offering gratitude for the journey that has carried us here and gently turning our hearts towards the light we wish to nurture in the months ahead.
Through a shamanic drum journey, you will be guided into the quiet landscape within, journeying through the darkness to meet your own inner flame. A space to listen deeply for what wants to be protected, nourished and quietly dreamed into being as a new cycle begins.
From this place of deep listening, we will soften into a crystal singing bowl sound healing, allowing the body to rest within waves of sound and vibration. A spacious moment to soothe the nervous system, quieten the mind and simply receive during one of the busiest times of the year.
Our candle ritual will honour the returning Sun and the light that continues to live within us, even through our darkest seasons. Together, we will light our candles as small symbols of hope, renewal and the promise that nothing in nature remains in darkness forever.
Evergreen branches, traditionally gathered at Yule, remind us that life continues even when the landscape appears still. Beneath the surface, the Earth is already preparing for what comes next.
There is something deeply comforting about remembering that we do not need to rush towards becoming.
Winter asks us to rest.
To tend the hearth.
To gather close.
To keep a little light burning.
Held in warmth, safety and reverence, this circle is an invitation to reconnect with the ancient rhythms of the Earth, the wisdom of winter and the simple medicine of gathering together in conscious sisterhood.
Together, we honour the darkness.
We honour the stillness.
We honour the returning light.
And we tend the flame of what is quietly waiting to be born.
Mats, blankets, pillows, bolsters and eye masks are provided. Simply bring yourself, a journal and pen, and any winter offerings you feel called to place upon our co-created Yule altar.
