Discover the elegance of Yukata, a Japanese summer kimono, the quintessential Japanese attire synonymous with summer festivals.
About this Event

Step into the world of Japanese culture through Yukata Kitsuke (浴衣着付け), the traditional art of dressing in a yukata. A yukata is a lightweight, unlined cotton summer kimono traditionally worn during the summer.

Learn how each fold, wrap, and tie comes together to create an elegant, meaningful expression of Japanese tradition. Whether you already own a yukata and would like to learn from an expert how to wear it properly, are interested in experiencing kitsuke for the first time, or simply wish to enjoy the beauty of Fumiko-sensei's exquisite collection by taking a photo in it, this workshop offers a welcoming and memorable cultural experience.

After the workshop, take the opportunity to stroll through the Nikkei Garden Market while wearing your yukata and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a Japanese summer festival.

Experience the seasonal charm of one of Japan's most beloved traditional garments!

Two ticket options:

General Admission for those who wish to borrow a Yukata from Horan-sensei's extensive collection

Bring Your Own Yukata for those who wish to learn how to wear their own personal Yukata.
