Alison is surrounded by mythical stories of her “genius’ inventor father who died when she was only 10 weeks old, leaving her absent from any connection to him. However, when Alison finds her dad’s old synthesizer prototype, it sparks a quest to forge a posthumous relationship.

She starts a resurrection project that turns into an insatiable globe-trotting quest. Aided by estranged family, lost friends, fellow inventors and celebrated musicians (Peter Gabriel, Fred Armisen, Grace Potter, Gotye and more), Alison unlocks secrets and complex truths -through which a father/daughter bond is finally born.
