We are back in town after all our summer adventures, and we've missed you! Join us on Aug 22 for the first city Happy Hour since June, hosted by club president Jeanette Flodell.
Meet new and old members, reminisce about the Clear Lake events you might have been to this summer, and find out what new things we have in store for you in the coming months, including the big 75th Anniversary Party! If you are not yet a member, but curious about who we are, come on over!
Barbarossa Lounge is a Barbary Coast-themed bar in downtown SF, near Jackson Square, just on the border between the Financial District and North Beach. The historic building is one of few that survived the 1906 earthquake and fires, and was used as a jailhouse back in the 19th century. There are plenty of beverages and food on the Happy Hour menu, but the signature drink of the Barbarossa Lounge is Grog, a drink of historical significance. Grog was often consumed by pirates and sailors, with citrus as a main ingredient to ward off scurvy!
Happy Hour ends at 7pm, but for those who want to keep going, the lounge is open until 2am!
