Following the success of last year’s trip, Focus are delighted to be coordinating a group trip for 12-35 year olds to attend the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church 2024 in Boston, USA from Thursday 30th May to Tuesday 4th June 2024.Annual Meeting is a wonderful opportunity to join with people studying Christian Science from all over the world, both in person and online, to learn about the activities of the Mother Church, share inspiration and hear reports from the Christian Science movement around the world.
Annual Meeting itself will be held on Monday 3rd June 2024, with youth events going on at The Mother Church from Friday 31st May and across the weekend. The events are specifically aimed at young people aged 12-35. University-style accommodation will be available for 18-35s and hotel accommodation will be available for:
- Parents over 35 with age 12-18 kids. Focus will pay travel for one parent.
- Parents (under 35) with children under 18
Please note all under 18s must attend with at least one parent or legal guardian. No accommodation is available for unaccompanied 12-18 year olds.
Flights, accommodation, travel insurance and a contribution towards food costs will be given to UK participants aged 12-35. Similarly, flights, accommodation and a contribution to food will be offered to European citizens wishing to travel to Boston from their home country. Those wishing to fly to Boston from London Heathrow will need to be available to travel with the group on Thursday 30th May, returning to Heathrow on Tuesday 4th June 2024. Please note travel to/from the airport is not covered by Focus.
