YTP is a prayer ministry focused on learning through prayer, inspired by Isaiah 66:8, aiming to raise a generation grounded in prayer.
About this Event

Youth That Prays Ministry (YTP), a community of believers committed to teaching young people to pray. We believe there is a great demand for young people who have a heart and desire to pray according to the heart and mind of God. We prayerfully stand on Isaiah 66:8 and desire to bring forth a generation of young people who pray down heaven.

“Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”

Our mission is to empower young people with the knowledge and practice of prayer, fostering a deep and personal relationship with God. We are dedicated to cultivating an environment of support and unity for youth to explore their faith, develop spiritual disciplines, and grow in their understanding and commitment to a life of prayer.

Our vision is to see a generation of young people who are spiritually grounded, confident in their faith, and equipped to lead lives of purpose and service through the power of prayer. We aspire to cultivate a global community of youth who are united in their devotion to God, transforming their families, communities, and the world through their fervency and devotion to prayer.

We intend to reach out to young people from all over the world to gather in fellowship and unity by organizing events to simply pray. This year we are reaching out to the young people in the DMV diaspora. We are organizing a prayer event aimed at bringing together DMV youth for a time of encounters to rekindle the fire upon their prayer altars and develop their love and desire for prayer. This event is called The Fragrance of Fire and is planned for 6pm - 10pm, November 23, 2024 at 13976 Laurel Lakes Ave, Laurel Maryland 20707. We believe that by the leading of the Holy Spirit, lives will be changed, and young people will encounter the God of the Bible and begin to pray again, especially for the times we are currently living in.
