The Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony, under the direction of Nathaniel Berman, is excited to present a program of gorgeous melodic pieces, many of which you will recognize. We guarantee you will leave the concert hall with your head full of tunes. From Bach's famous Fugue in G minor to Gounod's spooky Funeral March of a Marionette to Henry Cowell's lush and lively Hymn and Fuguing Tune, prepare to be both delighted and moved by our concert. The 4th movements of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique and Brahms's Symphony No. 1 round out the program.
An ensemble from our Chamber Music Academy opens the concert with a performance of the first movement of Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No. 2 in C minor.
Tickets are just $5 for youth ages 18 and younger. Adult tickets $20, seniors $15, college students $10.
