If your teen is interested in exploring different art mediums and techniques, this dynamic painting course is for them!Students will begin with foundational watercolour techniques, such as wet-on-wet painting and masking, then progress into more advanced media. Colour theory, proportion, and drawing will be practiced through still-life studies while stretching the rules of colour theory to create vibrant paintings. Using acrylics, students will experiment with techniques such as palette knife painting and colour-blocking to bring landscapes to life. In the final weeks, the class will culminate with an exploration of oil paints through portraiture, with an emphasis on capturing facial features and skin tones.
Each day will be packed with hands-on projects, creative challenges, and personalized feedback; this workshop is the perfect opportunity for students to develop their artistic skills and express their unique style.
