About this Event
Youth Mental Health First Aid Training. Trainer(s) from Trillium Health Resources will be coming to hold training at RC3. This class is free and open to anyone. The class will be in person from 9am-4pm, and there will be a lunch break. Attendees will be required to make an account and take a short pre-test prior to the in-person training.
*If you register for more then one person, please make sure to use separate emails because each person will have to make their own account in order to get certificate
After completion, you will receive a certification from the National Council For Mental Wellbeing in Youth Mental Health First Aid USA.
**Per MHFA regulations we are required to have at least 7 participants in each class. Because we have to follow that standard, we are now enforcing that all registrants are required to inform us if they cannot attend at least 5 business days prior to the training date. Failure to follow this will result in the cancelation of future registrations for an MHFA training. **
The Youth Mental Health First Aid course teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders in youth. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
The last to register for this course is July 22nd. After that date you will recieve an email from trillium with instructions on how to create your MHFA account.
