Youth Mental Health First Aid (In-Person)

This course is for adults who interact with young people, helping them understand mental illness in young people and how to help.

Mental Health First Aid USA teaches participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it helps trainees identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

The Youth Mental Health First Aid curriculum is designed to teach adults how to help youth experiencing mental health challenges. Participants will learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of mental illness. This course gives tools to help professionals. family members, and others in the community. Participants who completed the course are certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid for 3 years.
