About this Event
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth. This 5-hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
How Blended Youth MHFA Works: 2 hours of online self-paced coursework followed by a scheduled 5 hour in person instructor led- class . The in-person portion of this class is being held on Wednesday, October 5 from 9:00am - 2:30pm at Edward Plainfield Campus; 24600 West 127th St Building A, Conference Rooms, Plainfield, IL
What it Costs: $23.95 per participant, $50.00 for 6 CEU's ( LCPC/LPC, LCSW/LSW, LMFT and Psychologist)

• Course materials including a digital manual
• Online Participant Processing Guide and resources
• 3 Year MHFA certification
• 6.5 CEU's (LCPC/LPC, LCSW/LSW, LMFT and Psychologist) for a $50 Fee
Prior to the instructor led course, participants will receive an email inviting them to log in to the MHFA Connect to complete their pre-work. This pre-work needs to be completed 24 hrs (09/14/22) to the In-Person Instructor led portion of this course.
