About this Event

Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the timeless beauty of Islamic geometry, presented in collaboration with the Frist Art Museum's Anila Quayyam Agha's exhibition Interwoven and the Islamic Center of Nashville.

The workshop is led by Dr. Rebin Muhammad, a mathematician, educator, and artist originally from the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and Alexandra Veremeychik, an Islamic geometric artist. Participants will construct geometric patterns.

No prior experience in art or mathematics is required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Participants will leave with completed patterns and a deeper appreciation of geometry as a creative and cultural language.

This workshop will be tailored towards youth. All materials will be provided.
