About this Event

SAVE THE DATE!!

WHAT SHOULD WE DO ABOUT PLASTICS?

In anticipation of Earth Day,

CPSN, The Climate Positive Student Network, is sponsoring a

Youth Gathering on Plastics

Sunday, April 6th, 1:30 PM

at the Black Pine Circle School lower school library

at 2027 7th Street, Berkeley

(Snacks will be provided!)

The world has a plastics problem, but we might not know exactly what to do about it

If you’re searching for something you can do, join us on the 6th:

Let’s come together, students and adults, and figure out what is possible, by

engaging with expert speakers and discussing what we can do.

CPSN has identified 3 key speakers to help us learn about the situation before us.

The following speakers will each give a short presentation followed by a student moderated panel discussion, where we will welcome your questions and thoughts:

  • Jessica Heiges, PhD, Project Director in Zero Waste
  • Denaya Shorter, Senior Director US & Canada Region, GAIA (Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives)
  • Mandy Ladin, owner of The Filling Station, Vine St. Berkeley

Please join us!

The first step to resistance is knowing what you’re resisting.

We hope to see you there!
