About this Event
Join us for the 5th Annual Youth Food Security Summit β a one-day experience designed to equip high school students with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to lead real change in their communities. Participants will explore the root causes of food insecurity and discover how they can take action in their schools, neighborhoods, and beyond.
This event is designed by teens, for teens β uplifting youth voices, experiences, and solutions in the fight for food justice.
What to Expect:
π€ Keynote Speaker β Be inspired by a local changemaker working on the front lines of food access.
π οΈ Interactive Workshops β Build real-world skills in topics like community service, marketing, nutrition, gardening, and more.
π§‘ Hands-On Service β Collaborate with peers on a meaningful project that directly supports local food security efforts.
Past Impact Highlights:
- 2024: Youth packed 200+ care kits for The Womenβs Center and learned skills like seed saving and pickling.
- 2023: Participants painted and installed community food pantries to support neighbors facing hunger.
