How do we know what to believe - and why does it matter for democracy?
About this Event

In an era defined by information overload, AI-generated content, and deepening distrust in news and public institutions, media literacy and critical thinking have become essential civic skills.

This 90-minute evening event at RSA House will bring together young people aged 18–30 with leading voices in journalism, fact-checking, and digital media to explore the question:

“How do we know what to believe - and why does it matter for democracy?”

Co-hosted by RSA and wonderfuture (creators of *lunch for democracy*), this interactive event will combine short provocations from leading speakers with facilitated small-group discussions, enabling participants to unpack how truth, trust and technology shape democratic engagement in their daily lives.
