Grow your creativity with nature-inspired projects that bloom with color and life. In Garden Art Camp, young artists will explore the beauty of plants, flowers, insects, and outdoor spaces while creating artwork inspired by the natural world.
Throughout the week, campers will observe shapes, patterns, and textures found in nature and transform them into drawings, paintings, prints, and mixed media projects. Students will experiment with botanical illustration, create ceramic sculptures for their outdoor spaces, work collaboratively to create a sculpture for the museum’s garden, and explore the critters that can be found in natural environments.
Campers will build creative objects that can live in a garden space. Projects include painted garden markers, decorative steppingstones, small sculptures, wind elements, and other handmade pieces designed to add color and personality to a garden. These projects encourage both creativity and problem-solving as students think about how art interacts with outdoor environments.
This camp encourages curiosity, close observation, and creative experimentation while helping students see gardens as places for both growth and artistic expression. By the end of the week, each camper will have a vibrant collection of garden-inspired artwork—and garden-ready creations—to share at the Friday Mini Art Exhibition.
