About this Event
Join us for an evening of celebration, community, and powerful storytelling as we unveil this year's Youth Arts Company Community-Based Art Project.
Our Community Organizing Interns gathered stories and community data exploring themes of intergenerational trauma, healing, resilience, and safety within Oakland. Inspired by these stories, the Youth Arts Company transformed this collective wisdom into original musical pieces that honor our community's experiences while imagining pathways toward healing and liberation.
This listening party is an opportunity to celebrate the creativity, leadership, and artistry of our young people as they premiere and perform their original songs. Together, we'll listen, reflect, and uplift the voices of Oakland youth and families through music.
