Latasha Lamar
Hi, I’m Latasha Lamar, a Brooklyn-based jewelry designer who finds joy in teaching and giving back to my community. I draw inspiration from the natural beauty of the ocean and the textures in nature, focusing on creating meaningful, luxury heirlooms that foster calm and connection. I believe in the power of creativity, which is why I love offering free workshops where participants can explore jewelry-making as a form of self-expression. Additionally, through my YouTube show, "60 Seconds with Latasha Lamar," I provide a platform for emerging artists, allowing us all to share and connect in inspiring ways. For me, teaching is not just about imparting knowledge; it’s a wonderful opportunity to engage, collaborate, and have fun while exploring our creative sides together.
Each November, NYC Jewelry Week proudly presents ‘The Week,’ a 7-day celebration dedicated to the art of jewelry. This annual event invites a global audience to explore the world of jewelry through a dynamic mix of in-person and virtual experiences, spanning New York City and beyond.
