Join us for the YMCA Youth & Government Orientation to learn how this nationally recognized leadership program empowers high school students to become confident leaders, effective communicators, and engaged citizens.
Youth & Government is a six-month leadership and civic engagement program where students step into the roles of legislators, attorneys, judges, journalists, and lobbyists in a realistic simulation of California's government. Participants meet weekly with their local YMCA delegation to research public policy, write legislation, debate important issues, and prepare for statewide conferences at Camp Roberts and the California State Capitol in Sacramento.
