You're Fit. So Why Aren't You Racing Like It?
About this Event
If you've ever finished a race thinking, "I know I'm fitter than what I just showed today," this talk is for you.
As runners, we spend countless hours training our bodies.
We obsess over mileage, workouts, nutrition, recovery, and gear.
But when it comes to the mental side of performance, how we handle pressure, setbacks, self-doubt, and decision-making under stress, most of us are left to figure it out on our own.
The truth is that finess is only one part of the equation.
Performance is your ability to access that fitness when it matters most.
On Wednesday, July 15th, I'll be joining PR Labs in Boulder for a community, all-paces, no-drop run followed by a FREE workshop on mental performance for endurance athletes.
We will cover:
- Why fitness doesn't always translate to race-day results.
- The most common mental performance "leaks".
- Practical strategies you can use in training and racing.
- Interactive exercises and TAKE-HOME worksheets to continue practicing afterward.
Whether you are training for your first half-marathon or your next 100-miler, I hope you'll join us for an evening of running, learning and good community conversation!

Let's talk about Mental Performance, what it is and what it's not.
Info: I’m Kristen Schindler, a mental performance consultant, endurance coach, and athlete with a
Master’s in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology. I founded Integrated Stride Mental
Performance to support athletes as whole humans, not just performers. My work focuses on
helping athletes navigate pressure, uncertainty, identity, confidence, and the mental challenges that come with pursuing meaningful goals.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and shaped by four primary frameworks:
Narrative Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Humanistic Theory, and Self-Determination
Theory. Together, these approaches help athletes better understand their inner dialogue, build
psychological flexibility, strengthen motivation, and reconnect with the values that matter most to them both in sport and in life.
This isn’t therapy. It’s mental performance coaching built on trust, honest conversation, and the belief that you are more than your results.
