AN EVENT FOR PEOPLE FROM NEWCASTLE WHO HAVE A LEARNING DISABILITY, FAMILY CARERS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS.
About this Event

Research in the 2022 Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR) shows that people with a learning disability face multiple health inequalities and die considerably younger than the general population.

Skills for People, on behalf of Collaborative Newcastle Learning Disability Partnership are hosting an event to find out what health issues are important to people with a learning disability and work together to help people live longer, healthier lives.

We want to find out:

  • What health issues are important to people?
  • What is stopping people from leading healthy lives?
  • What are the challenges that affect people when accessing health services or support?
  • What is working well in Newcastle and come together to come up with solutions to help people with a learning disability have better health outcomes.

This event is for people from Newcastle who have a learning disability, family carers, service providers and representatives from health and social care.

Free lunch provided!
