Young Shots Introduction to Game Shooting- Norfolk

BASC Eastern invites you to come along for an experience to remember.

Upon arrival young shots will be welcomed by a BASC Officer and introduced to the team over breakfast in the shoot room followed by a presentation covering guns, safety on the shoot, species recognition, law and legislation.

They will then be introduced to our experienced shotgun coach who will mentor whilst shooting a handful of clays, giving advice and tips that hopefully a little later will help them to bag a pheasant or two.

Elevenses and soft drinks will then be served.

Next, it will be onto the gun bus to head out for our first of our ‘walk one, stand one’ drives giving young shots the experience of both being a gun on the peg, as well as being a part of the beating team.

A warm game lunch will then be served, something we will be looking forward to!

After lunch we will head back out and finish the rest of the drives.

We then move onto a demonstration on how to pluck and dress a gamebird that attendees will be able to take away at the end of the day.

An event not to be missed, giving your young shot the best start to their shooting career.

Please note, this event is aimed at youngsters with little shooting experience.

BASC members and non-members welcome.

The cost for this event is £125pp for BASC members and £150pp for non-members.

Attendees will need to bring suitable warm, waterproof clothing, ear and eye protection and a hat.

Guns will also be supplied, however, attendees can bring their own providing they have a valid shotgun certificate. Guns must be choked half or less, nitro proof and suitable for steel cartridges.

Minimum age 10 years old, maximum age 21 years old.
