Join us for a workshop at the Pembury Community Centre where you can meet the team and potentially be recruited as a Young Researcher.
About this Event

The aim of this workshop is to see who can best meet the criteria below for a Youth Researcher. We will do this through a group task where you will be asked to work together to find a solution. We will also talk to you individually to get to know you better and explore why this interests you.


What makes a good Youth Researcher?

● Being able to confidently communicate with a wide range of people

● Understand the importance of active listening and the power of including different voices

● Ability to work with people from different walks of life and treat everyone with dignity and

respect

● Being open and have the ability to embrace and respect different points of view

● Have an interest in your local neighbourhood/ community and want to have a say in how

things work locally

● Want to work with like minded people as part of a team

● Feel passionate about learning new skills and putting them into practice

● Be punctual and commit to the time requirements of the project including training and

fieldwork


All food and drink will be provided on the day. Please include any dietary requirements on the booking form.

We want to make this space as comfortable as possible for you so please detail anything we need to know before you attend on the booking form. For example, a disability, speech language and communication need, special educational need, cultural need, emotional or mental health needs.

You will be provided with information of the training dates in the sessions.
