Join the St. Mary's Young Professionals for a FREE event at the award-winning Port of Leonardtown Winery in Leonardtown.Come out to the winery and join with young professionals from St. Mary's County for some food, drinks and networking.
Port of Leonardtown's award-winning wines will be available for purchase, as well as light fare.

WHO IS CONSIDERED A YOUNG PROFESSIONAL?
We get this question all the time since these events are about providing networking and social opportunities for young professionals in St. Mary's County. While we won’t exclude anyone from participating in any of our groups or events based on age, generally we consider a “young professional” anyone between the ages of 21 and 40 in any career field who is looking to grow, learn and connect with others in the junior (including interns) or mid-levels of their careers. This is an event specifically geared towards this age group to encourage peer networking.

St. Mary's Young Professionals is the leading organization in St. Mary's County that brings together next generation thinkers and leaders to GATHER, GROW, and GIVE.
PORT OF LEONARDTOWN WINERY:
Repurposing the former State Highway Administration buildings, the Southern Maryland Wine Growers Cooperative (one of the few cooperative of local farmers operating a winery in the nation) entered into a lease agreement with the Town of Leonardtown in 2009 to operate the Port of Leonardtown Winery, making it the first commercial winery in St. Mary's County. The tasting room opened in May 2010 as a promotional outlet for locally grown grapes and locally produced wine. Currently we have 12 cooperative vineyards from St .Mary's, Calvert, Charles, and Kent counties. The winemaker, Lauren Zimmerman, continues the tradition of high standards for our award winning wines. The selection of fine wines continues to grow as they add new selections to their already outstanding list of wines. Since opening in 2010, they have won over 150 awards including multiple Best in Class awards & many international medals. They are the only winery in Maryland to win both the Governor's Cup and Comptroller's Cup in the same year.
