Young Maestro: A Valentine Family Concert in Dubai

Celebrate the Valentine’s season with a heartwarming family concert that explores how music expresses what words sometimes cannot. What does a hug sound like, or a joyful dance? Through the timeless works of Mozart, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, and more, the Baldaquin Ensemble brings emotions to life from tender whispers to bursts of delight.

In this special Young Maestro – Sunday Morning Family Series performance, you’ll discover how composers use tempo, key, and dynamics to shape feeling. Is legato soft and flowing, like a long hug or saying “I love you” slowly, as in Debussy’s Clair de Lune? Is staccato playful and crisp, like an inside joke or a cheerful shout, as in Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik? Through crescendos, rubato, and even silence, music begins to breathe, connect, and tell stories no words needed.

Performed by the award-winning Baldaquin Ensemble, Petr Gladysh, Anna Larionova-Gladysh, Sergei Belozertsev, and Daria Kuchenova, this concert offers a magical introduction to classical music for all ages.

Adding a visual layer to the experience, abstract artworks by UAE-based artist Israa Talal, inspired by the concert’s emotional themes, will be exhibited and available to purchase at Dubai Opera.
