Young Homesteaders Program

Young Homesteaders meet weekly on Wednesdays at Frog Belly Farm to learn about livestock including chickens, goats and rabbits, will help start a Spring Garden, learn about local ecology, photosynthesis and more. Tasty Snacks and Fun Crafts Included. This is for ages 6+
Frog Belly Farm is helping to Forge Young Homesteaders! Farmer Nicole will take students on a tour of the farm and garden to tend chickens, goats and rabbits. In the spring students will help start and plant a garden, and learn how to identify common plants and trees that grow around us here in New Hampshire. Each week students will explore the homestead, learning about livestock, starting a garden, preparing tasty snacks, compost, soil and all the wonderful things within, the seasons, local ecology, photosynthesis and more. Each lesson will have a fun craft to bring home.

Perfect for homeschoolers meeting weekly – Wednesdays 10-11:30am. This program runs March 19 through May 28.
A mother of two children ages 7&9, Nicole Lamont has additional experience as an assistant teacher specializing in ages 0-3 and volunteering with young children – offering age appropriate education in chick hatching, maple tapping and the seasons of New England. Trained and certified in Adult, Child & Baby First Aid/CPR/AED.
