About this Event
We welcome all quant finance professionals, students of the Duisenberg Honours programs and graduates to attend this exciting event. At this edition, we especially welcome alumni of Duisenberg School of Finance and Duisenberg Honours programs. Meet, talk and discuss with your fellow alumni about your shared interests and experiences!

We will have several exciting speaker who will take us through these exciting topics:
Erik Kooistra (FRM) is a former laureate of the EU Best Quant Finance Thesis Prize (2017) and is currently a senior consultant and Lead Model Validation at Probability and Partners. Over the last 5 years following his thesis prize, he has worked at trading departments of banks in the areas of model development, model validation, and model risk management. Next to working with detailed and complex pricing models for Interest rate, Equity, and Commodity asset classes, he has developed a broad knowledge of banks and the financial industry, and obtained the GARP certified Financial Risk Manager designation.
Mr. Gibran Registe-Charles is a Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Urban Edge Capital. He co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer at cap: ratio. He has worked for EFG and Julius Baer in Zurich and Geneva, and Boyer Allen in London, and was Private Client Director for ACG Group a $2bn Singapore tech and clean energy fund. He also spent 2 years in Sao Paulo developing and marketing UK pension funds to high net worth individuals. More recently he served as a policy advisor at the European Parliament in the Economic and Monetary Affairs committee advising on Fintech and Banking regulations and working on the impact of BREXIT on the financial services sector.
Thesis Awards 2022
But most importantly, the Quant Finance Thesis Awards: 2022 will be awarded during this event. The three finalists will pitch their quant thesis and the winners will be decided and announced. The author of the winning thesis will receive the award of €2500.
The day will conclude with drinks, food and plenty of opportunities for informal networking.
