Mark your calendar and plan to attend James Monroe School's 'Young Emerging Artists Show.' April 28th – May 2nd.
April 28th is the Opening Night Art Presentation Reception for artists, family and friends 6-7pm and is open to the public.
The Awards Presentation is Friday, May 1st, with awards presented at 6:00pm for ‘Best of Show’, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place and Honorable Mention for their respective grades. Artwork will be judged by a Jury of resident artists from Street Smarts Gallery.
Thirty-five artists will be represented under the tutelage of Ms. Hope Holcer, Art Teacher at James Monroe School.
This Young Emerging Artist Show is the first of many to be scheduled highlighting the art talents of art students in the Oklahoma City Public Schools District.
Please plan to attend the week-long show - the gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday 11am-5:30pm but extended hours on 4/28 & 5/1/2026.
