“"The best Young Elvis Show in the country. Trent Smith has perfected the young Elvis of the 1950's." ” - - Ms. Donna Presley, Elvis' First CousinSmith is a vibrant, energetic young man from middle America currently doing a tribute to early “Sun Records” Elvis Presley of the 50's and early 60's. The “Young Elvis Show” has been called the best in the world by many who have seen him perform. Even some of Elvis’ family members say Smith is doing a show no other can cover due to his age and vocal skills. This is NOT your white leisure suit, Vegas Elvis show.
Smith started when he was 7 years old with some old CD's and a little stereo, listening to, and becoming more familiar with the music of Elvis. Although he liked the music, it never crossed his mind to perform or do anything outside of just listen to it. As he listened, and started to sing along with the CD's, he soon realized that he sounded a little like Elvis. He discovered a natural tone, vibrato and rasp in his voice just like Elvis had in the 1950’s.
Smith began studying all things Elvis, including his moves and performances, getting better and better. He started singing Elvis tunes at a local karaoke bar. Soon Smith performed in Branson, Missouri where he was told by Elvis Presley’s first cousin, Donna Presley, that he had perfected the craft of a Young Elvis Presley in the 50’s.
As he approached his senior year in high school, he had a decision to make: ……. whether to continue his baseball career, or to pursue a career in the music industry. Ultimately, he decided to pursue and continue his career in music. He threw a band together and hasn’t looked back since.
