Have you ever wondered how we breathe or where all our blood goes? What do our heart and lungs look and feel like inside and out? In this workshop, you'll measure your own heart rate and create your own model lung to take home, gaining a deeper understanding of how these vital organs function within our bodies. Students will delve deeply into the workings of the circulatory and respiratory systems, getting hands-on experience with real anatomical structures.This workshop offers a unique and specialised experience as part of the long-running and ever-popular Young Doctors series. It promises an immersive journey into the human body's workings like never before. Aspiring medical professionals will find this an invaluable experience, while others will enjoy exploring a fascinating subject with like-minded peers.
The workshop is expertly facilitated by a seasoned gifted and talented teacher with over a decade of experience in delivering anatomy workshops. The inclusion of a highly experienced Emergency Nurse further enhances the educational value, providing firsthand insights into medical practices. Participants will develop their anatomical knowledge and foster critical and creative thinking.

Ages: 8 to 12 (recommended)
What to bring
A4 folder (to store handouts), notepad, recess and lunch (nut free please), water bottle.
A zest for problem solving and a thirst for a challenge!
Arrival & Pick up
Children will need to be signed in and out of the workshop. Your child can be dropped off at 9:30 AM and be collected at 3 PM.
