Civility seems to be missing these days from our political conversations, and polarization has occurred even among friends and family. In what ways do we contribute to this polarization? Are we even able to have a political conversation that is grace-filled? We will explore the thoughts of theologians and political leaders who offer ways to examine our own assumptions and to heal our divides. The Institute for Civility (.org) defines this concept: “Civility is claiming and caring for one’s identity, needs, and beliefs without degrading someone else’s in the process.”
