'You meet me at a very Chinese time in my life' ESEA writers conversation
About this Event
"You meet me at a very Chinese time of my life" in conversation with Jenny Lau
Jenny is a writer, community organiser and Chinese food cheerleader under the persona of Celestial Peach, which became a platform to tell stories about Chinese food in the diaspora, and the people and cultures behind it. Her debut non-fiction An A-Z of Chinese Food (Recipes Not Included) is not a recipe book, but a deliberate 'anti-glossary' - a delectable edible anthology that serves up Chinese flavour beyond just its taste. She will be in conversation about her book and being British Chinese with Zoe Li, founder of the UK’s first East and Southeast Asian bookshop Juniper by the Sea and co-editor of magazine-anthology GOLDEN.
