Adulting can hard, but you don’t have to figure it out on your own. We are here to help get you on the road to self-sufficiency. Every month we will cover real-world topics that are essential to living independently. September is National Workforce Development Month and we are talking all about networking and how to build connections. Communication skills are essential not just in the workplace, but in all areas of adulting.
Harness Your Current Network: Realize that you already have a network•friends, family, teachers•and learn how to use it to open doors for your future career, education, and personal growth.
Overcome Shyness: Learn simple strategies to help you start conversations and connect with new people, even if you're nervous about it.
Build Confidence: Find out how to confidently present yourself and share your unique strengths and ambitions, making connections feel natural and less intimidating.
You Got This is a monthly program for youth aged 14 to 23 covering topics from Health & Wellness to Automotive Maintenance to Financial Literacy. All the skills YOU need to tackle adulting. Meet us at LINC Library Innovation Center from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm on the last Tuesday of each month. Registration Required.
