About this Event

An introductory workshop on fertilizing, amending, and basic soil health. Attendees will learn about summer soil summer and nutrients for heavy feeder vegetables. We will show step by step on how to make compost tea & extracts that will help summer veggies thrive. All materials provided. Recommended for adults.
$26 Non-Member / $20 Member* (includes garden admission)

Registration required. Drop-ins welcome upon availability.

Location: QBG Farm

Instructors: This lesson will be taught by the Farm Manager and Compost Manager.

By public transportation, take the number 7 subway line to Main Street, the Long Island Rail Road (Port Washington line) to Main Street/Flushing, or the Q44-SBS or Q20 bus. For driving directions and more information, please visit our website.

On-site parking is available year-round during Garden open hours at the Parking Garden, located at 42-80 Crommelin Street, Flushing, NY 11355. For parking fees, please check our website or call 718.886.3800.
