More than 400 people showed up for the No Kings rally in Sandy Springs to peacefully exercise their First Amendment rights. I was one of them. And I was cited for it.
Nearly 200 years ago, my ancestor Stephen Young was arrested for unlawful assembly while fighting for freedom. In 2026, I find myself fighting for that same fundamental right.
Different century. Same fight for freedom.
But this is bigger than me. More than 400 people came together to make their voices heard. That was their constitutional right, too. Every single person who stood with us deserves to know their rights will be protected, not punished.
Our Constitution doesn't grant free speech only when elected officials agree with what's being said.
