ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Taraji P. Henson is a multiple award-winning actor, writer, director, producer, and activist for mental health. Henson starred in films such as THE COLOR PURPLE, HIDDEN FIGURES, ACRIMONY, and WHAT MEN WANT. She is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir "Around The Way Girl" and has launched her production company, TPH Entertainment. Additionally, she founded the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, focusing on mental health, and her own haircare line, TPH by Taraji.

Her natural humor and honesty, and her desire to encourage everyone to live true to yourself are reflected in Lil TJ, the main character in her first picture book. Taraji is a Washington DC native and currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.
