Make plans now to join us at The Art Center for an opening reception for 3 new exhibitions on Saturday, April 5th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.In the Richard Low Evans Gallery, the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association, presents “Forms of the Forest.”
From raw nature to refined artistry, Forms of the Forest showcases the beauty and versatility of wood through a stunning collection of woodcarving, woodturning, woodworking, marquetry, pyrography, and intarsia. This exhibit invites you to immerse yourself in the natural elegance of these unique artworks, meet the artists, and take home a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that celebrates the inherent beauty and boundless possibilities of the timeless medium of wood.
In the John & Evelyn Branch Gallery, BRMAA is excited to welcome Rachel Eichholtz, an impressionist painter from Rome, Georgia, as our upcoming Artist in Residence.
Drawing inspiration from endless mountain trails and the ever-changing dance of light across nature, her oil paintings capture the true essence of creation. Rachel’s plein air studies transform the vibrant hues of sunrise and sunset into an immersive visual experience, inviting us to pause and marvel at the beauty that surrounds us. Through her art and deep connection with the community, she celebrates the shared wonder of nature and the limitless possibilities of creativity.
In our Studio Gallery, light, color, and motion are all key aspects of photographer Tom Kells current work.
The impact of an image and the artistic value are, in large, part based on emotion and the viewer’s eye. Each image the artist produces comes from somewhere inside him with a deep respect for the serendipity of life. His choice to enhance certain aspects of a photograph and willingness to combine imagery compliments the story. The change in movement enhances the feeling.
“I cannot expect that all I produce will be appreciated, but if part of what I see is enjoyed and understood, I will have succeeded.”
The Opening Reception is free and open to the public and features light hors d'oeuvres, a wine bar, beautiful artwork, and more!
We’re located at 420 West Main Street in beautiful downtown Blue Ridge, GA. Bring friends and enjoy the evening, we hope to see you there!
