Join us for a community screening and discussion of "You Are Here: Bdote," a short film produced by Twin Cities PBS that explores the Dakota connection to Bdote through history and resilience. Guests will have an opportunity to watch the film, enjoy an engaging panel discussion, and participate in an audience Q&A.
Schedule: Please arrive no later than 6:30 pm.
6:00 pm – Doors open
6:30 pm – Program begins
7:00 pm – Screening of "You Are Here: Bdote"
7:15 pm – Panel discussion and audience Q&A with the film's producer Leya Hale, key contributor Ramona Kitto Stately and other special guests
8:00 pm – Event ends
Food and Beverage: Light refreshments will be provided.
Parking:
- Limited free parking is available in the surface lot adjacent to the McKnight Foundation building, accessible from 10th Avenue South.
- Paid parking is available at the nearby Riverfront Municipal Ramp (212 9th Avenue South, across from the Guthrie Theater).
- Paid street parking is available on Washington Avenue South and 10th Avenue South.

About the film:
"You Are Here: Bdote" reveals the deep connection Dakota people have to Bdote, where the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers meet. Through Dakota oral histories and Ramona Kitto Stately's great-great-grandmother Pazahiyayewin's journey, the episode highlights Bdote's cultural and sacred importance, celebrating Dakota people's resilience across generations. “You Are Here: Bdote” is part of a new nostalgia-driven anthology series from Twin Cities PBS, available to stream on the PBS App starting September 23.
