York Record Fair

Discover a huge selection of quality vinyl records at York Racecourse on 1st November. Over 50 top sellers with 150 tables – that’s about 150,000 records! Rock ‘n’ roll, soul, punk, prog, indie, reggae, metal, electronic, jazz, classical and much more. Whether you stay for seven hours or pop in for 30 minutes, there's sure to be something for every music enthusiast. There will also be plenty of memorabilia, including 40 original posters, photographs and books featuring New Order, Electronic, Joy Division and others. Some collectable CDs will be there, as well as a choice of interesting 78s. Now one of the UK’s biggest record fairs, it all takes place in the Knavesmire Stand exhibition space.
Since the first event in 2022, York Record Fair has become a regular bi-annual destination for vinyl aficionados. The April fair earlier this year included collectors from Japan, USA and Sweden.
As well as rare first pressings from yesteryear, there will be recent releases of current music and lots of bargains. Some stalls specialise in particular types of music and others have a wide range. There’s even a stall of Hi-Fi furniture.
Jukeboxes play an eclectic mix of music all day and are also on sale.
The record fair venue is easy to get to by car, with free parking. It’s a 30 minute walk from York Railway Station, with frequent buses and taxis if required. Admission is £2 on the door. Free for under 16s.
