About this Event
  • Are you a mum worrying about the future for your children?
  • Perhaps you’re a mum to teenagers who are waking you to the climate crisis?
  • Maybe you’re trying to figure out whether or not to become a parent? Exploring other ways to mother?
  • Have you chosen not to, in part based on the climate and ecological crisis?

Following a pilot project in Bristol in 2022, Motherhood in a Climate Crisis brings these stories into a caring conversation on the topic.

Event Photos

Project founder, Sophia Cheng, will hold an intimate space to hold where attendees are welcome to share how these issues impact them. Monologues from the pilot project will be screened during the event as prompts for conversation.

Please note: hard topics will be discussed and we welcome differing view points. What’s not up for discussion is the validity of climate science, nor straying into population discussion. We will be speaking from our personal lived experience.

We invite you to come with open hearts and minds.

Disclaimer: This is not a group therapy session. Please reach out to the Climate Psychology Alliance for professional support.
