About this Event
The Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Margaret Wells, warmly invites you to join her for an evening of delicious food, good company and fun quizzing, all in support of the Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal 2026–2027.
Join the civic party in their first official charity fundraiser at Red Chilli Restaurant on George Hudson Street for a relaxed and sociable night out — a chance to bring friends, family and colleagues together around the table whilst raising money for causes close to the heart of our city.
A quiz hosted by York's very own Town Crier — gather your table and put your wits to the test ..
There will be Live music to set the mood, a charity raffle, with prizes to be won on the night for the winning team and something for those in last place.
On the menu
A shared Chinese banquet, served to the table:
Soup — Chicken & Sweetcorn or Hot & Sour (vegetarian soup available)
Starter — Salt & Pepper Sharing Platter: S&P Ribs, Crispy Seaweed, Spring Rolls, Prawn Toast, Chicken Satay Skewers and Chicken Wings
Mains — Garlic Broccoli · Mapo Tofu · Curry Chicken · Black Bean Sizzling Beef · Jade Fried Rice
Tables are usually set for four, but we're happy to be flexible. Vegetarian options are available, and all dietary requirements can be accommodated — just let us know when you book.
Tickets are £25 per person, with every penny going to support the Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal. Whether you come as a table of four or join us on your own, you'll be made very welcome.
