York Book of River Beasts - Acomb

Join York’s Hidden History to help create a Book of River Beasts. In this 90‑minute workshop, children explore York’s rivers, their wildlife and how they’ve changed over time, then use creative writing and art to invent marvellous creatures and add their own river beast entry to the book.
This session is suitable for children age 6-12 years old.
Please note our supervision guidelines: 8s and Under must have an adult with them at all times during the session. Ages 9–10 need an adult to stay in the library building during the session and to be on hand to support the child if needed. Ages 11+ can take part independently but will be unsupervised by library staff. Thank you for helping us keep our activities safe.
