Sunday July 14th 1:00 - 4:00 PM "How to Manage Vata"
Join Shambhu in this in-depth look at one of the Doshas. Why Vata? The Vata element dominates today's culture, and even if your personal Dosha isn't Vata dominant, learning how to understand Vata imbalances can help improve your life. Shambhu will give you suggestions for how to pacify unruly Vata based on his own 20 year Ayurvedic journey. Come prepared to play the "will it Vata game?" with Shambhu.
Sunday August 11th 1:00 - 4:00 PM "The True Cost of Yoga"
'Yoga is truly popular right now, but what is popular is not true Yoga'-Yogi Amrit Desai. The business side of Yoga is often lauded and examined, but what about the human cost? Shambhu will lead you through an "accounting" of how choosing a life that includes Yoga, entails far more than just the financial cost of a Yoga class or teacher training.
Sunday September 15th 1:00 - 4:00 PM "Yoga History: Ancient"
The academic verses the spiritual definition of Yoga's history will be covered in this first of two part workshop. You'll explore ancient world history in Southern Asia, how and why what was going on in the world shaped what you know of as Yoga today. In this workshop Shambhu will discuss Yogic texts in historic context. and be sure to remind him to tell you why India was the only empire un-conquered by the Mongols, and how Yoga was involved.
Sunday November 10th 1:00 - 4:00 PM "Yoga History: Modern"
What the West knows of as Yoga is less than 200 years old, with Yoga in America just now 100 years old. Learn about the mystics and visionaries who came to America to spread Yoga when, where why and how. You'll learn about how the modern styles of Yoga have similar ancient roots, and why they've evolved into what they are today. No yoga mat necessary for this workshop!
Sunday December 15th 1:00 - 4:00 PM "Dharma vs. Karma"
But what do they mean?? An inspired conversation on understanding the meanings and differences between these often confused terms.
~ Sunday Workshops with Shambhu Ji are offered by donation. Suggested minimum donation is $15 per student, per class.
~ Workshops will be held in the Saraswati Mandir

~ Please park on the semi-circle in front of the Ashram. Additional parking is available behind the Ashram and in the side lot by the gardens.
~ Entry to the Ashram is through the front doors only
