In this training, participants will learn about the history and psychology of yoga, and how to incorporate yoga in their clinical practice.
About this Event

Come learn how to implement yoga into your daily life in realistic, feasible ways. You don’t need to be a flexible human pretzel, own fancy yoga pants, or have previous experience. Participants will come away with a strong introduction and foundation to the history and psychology of yoga, balancing the chakra system, breath techniques, and how to incorporate your own personal yoga practice for building energy and reducing stress. This training supports beginners and provides yoga poses and practice for all abilities.
Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
  • Participants will be able to cultivate grounded energy; steadiness and stabilization
  • Participants will learn to activate the breath and down regulate nervous system (From fight and flight to rest and digest)
  • Participants will learn to give their body an opportunity to slow down and interrupt negative patterns
  • Participants will be able to gain a sense of support, strength, security, and confidence
  • Participants will have 3 simple, go-to yoga flow sequences that can be used anytime, anywhere, with a knowledge of alternative poses to use.

What entrance to the building do I use for the event?

There will be signs outside directing you to the correct entrance. The event will be held on the bottom floor training room of EMERGE. You will enter in the side door of the building (to the right of the parking lot, facing the building) by the concrete staircase.

What is the Refund Policy?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not need a printed ticket. Save a copy of your email confirmation for your records.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Your ticket may only be used for this event.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

The name on the ticket needs to match the name of the person attending the event. If you plan to buy a ticket for someone else, make sure to register with the name and email of the person planning to attend the event.

How do I receive CE credit for this workshop?

After the workshop you will receive an online evaluation. Once your evaluation is submitted electronically, you will be emailed a copy of your workshop certificate.

How is EMERGE approaching safety during COVID19?

All who enter the building will be screened for COVID19. Limited tickets are available for in person events, and we are offering online tickets for some CE Events. For those who attend in person, face masks are required and seating is spaced 6 feet apart. Our workshop rooms are also sanitized before and after events.
