We’re hosting the workshop nobody asked for, but everyone secretly needs:
‘Yoga Vs Pilates: The Not-so- Ultimate-Showdown’
No, they’re not actually fighting- but you might be, once we introduce you to a balance pose and a Pilates core series.
We’ll explore how the two practices differ, how they overlap, and why both are brilliant ….even if some poses make you question your life choices.
Expect wobbling, laughing, maybe a little sweating- and definitely biscuits at the end.
Flexibility optional.
Sense of humour essential.
Join us for a fun, friendly battle- that isn’t a battle.
It’s going to be an experience.

“Sound Baths: Using Sound to Induce States of Deep Relaxation and Letting Go”
This workshop will explore the concepts behind sound baths as a wellbeing modality. Sound baths are regularly paired with yoga to accompany Savasana and they offer participants the opportunity to go inwards as they bathe (fully clothed) in a live improvised soundscape designed for deep relaxation and letting go. It will examine working with a broad frequency range required for inducing states of deep relaxation and how different instruments can be used to physically relax the body and calm down the ‘mind monkeys’.
A session of relaxation through sacred sound. Commencing with a guided meditation, followed by a sound bath featuring the relaxing sounds played on handmade Himalayan singing bowls, Koshi wind chimes, ocean drum, and other sacred sound instruments.Participants may lie down or they may be seated for this sound bath, depending on their individual needs.
Dr. Nicholas Peters Biography:
Dr. Nicholas Peters studied Music Composition with Dr. Christopher Hobbs at Coventry University, achieving a First Class BA (Hons) degree (2008), an MA with Distinction (2011), and a practice-based PhD in Sonic Art, which he passed without any formal amendments (2019). He holds an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), and the diploma of Associate Fellow of the National College of Music and Arts, London (AFNCollM). He teaches a specialist session on sound, music, and mantra for the Diploma in Transformational Heart Based Practices, a private course run by Dr. Liz Sparkes.
He specialises in creating music designed to induce altered states of consciousness, required for undertaking shamanic journeying, inner focusing, and meditation. He produces singing bowl and sound bath compositions, short instrumental compositions, theatrical production music, electro-acoustic, experimental, and ambient tracks. His tracks ‘Dreams of the Deep (432 Hz)’ and ‘Contemplating Dhyana’ have been played on The Sleeping Forecast on BBC Radio 3 Unwind.
