This is a weekly class that takes place every Sunday, 6-7pm at Om Shanti Yoga School in Tequesta. Yoga Nidra is a profoundly healing guided meditation experience that takes you through the 5 koshas (layers of being).
It is very relaxing and accessible to all as it is done lying down in supported savasana.
Studies have shown yoga nidra to reduce stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and insomnia.
In this special class you will be guided into the deepest levels of relaxation through yoga nidra and then into even more bliss as the angelic tones of crystal singing bowls "wash" over you.
ABOUT SOUND BATHS
Like any instrument, our bodies and nervous systems require regular tuning in order to exist in harmony.
Sound helps to facilitate shes our fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency which the brainwave can attune to.
When we entrain our brainwaves with sound it becomes possible to downshift our normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness) and even reach theta (deeply meditative).
