Yoga in Historic Places with Historic Milwaukee

Historic Milwaukee invites you to experience yoga in a truly inspiring historic setting at the Charles Allis Art Museum.
This gentle yoga session will take place inside the elegant rooms of the Charles Allis Art Museum, a Tudor-style mansion built in 1911 as the home of industrialist and art collector Charles Allis and his wife, Sarah. Today, the museum is known for its extraordinary architecture, intimate scale, and carefully curated collection of fine art—offering a peaceful and art-filled atmosphere unlike any typical studio space.
Before the yoga practice, participants will enjoy a brief history talk and highlights tour of the museum, learning more about the Allis family, the building’s architectural significance, and its role in Milwaukee’s cultural history.
Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this class offers a welcoming space to slow down, reconnect, and practice mindfulness surrounded by art and history.
The session will be led by Historic Milwaukee volunteer and RYT200 Certified Instructor Sofia Ismaili.
