As the population ages, the need for accessible, supportive, and safe yoga classes for older adults continues to grow. This specialized continuing education workshop is designed for yoga teachers who wish to expand their skills and confidently offer classes tailored to the unique needs of older adults.

You will learn how to adapt yoga practices to support healthy aging, mobility, balance, strength, and overall well-being. We’ll explore functional movement, common health conditions (such as osteoporosis, arthritis, and limited mobility), and how to use props, chairs, and modifications to create inclusive, effective classes.

Expect a mix of movement, teaching practice, discussion, and plenty of ideas you can take straight into your classes.
This training is eligible for 6 CECs through Yoga Alliance.
